Global warming is bad, but you can help by not driving as much. When you drive it makes the atmosphere thicker, so when sunlight comes in, some go out but others bounces back and forth making it warmer inside, which makes the ocean warmer, which then makes the ice caps shink and the prossess goes on. So please don’t drive as much.
how to help
There are many ways that you can help stop global warming. Kids can help by doing the following: Turning the heat down in the shower and taking shorter showers and by filling the bath tub not as high. Grown ups can help by: Turning the thermostat down to 68, car pool more, and walk more!
an inconvenient truth
There is a movie that you should watch. It is called An Inconvenient Truth. I think you should watch it because it’s about global warming, and it really teaches you about global warming. Like for instance, if the ice on top of Greenland melted it would raise the sea level by twenty feet! Then the world map would have to be redrawn!

I put up some new links on the blogroll about global warming and the environment. They are links that kids might be particularly interested in. The EPA site has some stuff about climate change that you might want to look at. The National Resources Defense Council site has a link to global warming information.
Daffodils in the Wrong Month
Earlier, when we were outside, my friend’s mom showed us something. It was some daffodils that were popping up. We weren’t very surprised, because global warming is having quite an effect right now.
Making a Good Start
Anyone who wants to join this club, can. The first thing we are going to do is to send letters to companies, saying things like “Stop polluting!” Here is an example:
Dear Company,
We would like you to stop polluting. It is bad for the environment and is making global warming happen. Here in Massachusetts, it was a record high, sixty-seven degrees (Farenheit).

This club is mostly for kids, but feel free to join, even if you are a grown-up.
You can also start by picking up trash that you see, as long as you have a pair of gloves with you. This will help the environment by keeping the animals alive, because animals can be harmed by litter or trash that you see on the ground. For example, some animals can choke on a bottle top, or something. So please help the animals.
